Why isn't the AI reading my lines?
Make sure you've assigned a voice to the AI character on the Project screen. If audio still doesn't play, check that your iPhone's silent switch (the physical toggle on the side) is off.
How do I choose which character is "mine"?
On the Project screen, tap your character's name under "Your Role." The AI will read all other characters and wait while you deliver your lines.
My PDF came in with garbled text — what should I do?
Sides Kick automatically cleans common PDF formatting noise. If you're still seeing issues, try using the "Paste Text" option and paste the script text directly.
How do I manage my subscription?
Go to the Profile tab and tap "Manage Subscription." You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.
Where are my recorded takes stored?
Takes are saved locally on your device. You can view, trim, and share them from the Tapes tab. They are not uploaded to any cloud server.
Can I use Sides Kick without a subscription?
Yes — the free tier gives you 5 pages per month (roughly one short scene). Subscriptions unlock more pages per month and additional voice options.
How does the page limit work?
Pages are counted when you import a script (approximately 30 lines = 1 page). Your page count resets on the 1st of each month.
How do I attach a slate to my take?
Open a take from the Tapes tab, tap the camera icon, then choose an existing slate or record a new one. You can place it at the head or tail of your take.
